Monday Motivator :: Madonna

People are quick to criticize Madonna but I think she’s awesome! At 54 she is a mom of four, stays fit, and continues to express herself creatively in music, fashion, and film. I’m inspired!

Monday Motivator :: 5 Most Beautiful Things

Jennifer Pastiloff, yoga teacher, poet, and writer of the blog Manifest Station,  has initiated the 5 Most Beautiful Things Challenge. She is asking that you make a list of the 5 most beautiful things in front of you right now and post it on Twitter (#The5MostBeautifulThings Project, @5MBTProject)) or facebook and spread the word! I think everyone could benefit from taking a moment to reflect on the beauty that is in our lives instead of focusing on the negative.

My list this Monday;

  1. The silence in my house when I’m the first one up.
  2. The smell of coffee brewing.
  3. The sound of fall leaves rustling in the wind.
  4. My dogs happily playing with each other.
  5. My kids sleepy faces.
Happy Monday!

Monday Motivator :: Diana Vreeland

“There’s only one very good life, and that’s the life you know you want, and you make it yourself.” –Diana Vreeland

This weekend I saw “Diana Vreeland- The Eye Has to Travel.” Mrs. Vreeland’s passion for style, fashion, and every other aspect of her work is truly inspiring. Even though she wasn’t conventionally beautiful, she was the embodiment of what I find most beautiful in people: spirit and originality. The film is imbued with her infectious spirit. I loved it!
